LEAD EXTRACTION

A lead extraction is the removal of one or more pacemaker leads inside the heart.

Mechanical

EVOLUTION

The Evolution RL Controlled-Rotation Dilator Sheath Set is intended for use in patients requiring the percutaneous dilation of tissue surrounding cardiac leads, indwelling catheters and foreign objects. After time, pacemaker leads that are in situ, will have vegatational adherances and scar tissue. These are found in 3 areas which are at the distal tip of the lead, where the leads may cross each other in the SVC or under the clavicle. Where the leads have adherences in the SVC, a mechanical cutting device called the “Evolution” is used to free the leads. This device is a mechanical rotational device which has a cutting edge distally which frees any adherances/vegetation from the lead allowing for an easy lead removal. The product comes in 3 sizes: 9.0Fr, 11.0Fr and 13.0Fr.

Evolution Shortie

The Evolution Shortie RL Controlled-Rotation Dilator Sheath Set is intended for use in patients requiring the percutaneous dilation of tissue surrounding cardiac leads, indwelling catheters and foreign objects. After time, pacemaker leads that are in situ, will have vegetation adherences. These are found in 3 areas which are the distal tip of the lead, where the leads may cross each other in the SVC or under the clavicle. If the leads are embedded or trapped under the clavicle, then a mechanical device called the “Evolution Shortie” is used to free the lead from the clavicle. This is a mechanical device with a rotational distal debrider. It allows the physician to easily release the trapped lead from under the clavicle. The product comes in 2 sizes: 9.0Fr and 11.0Fr.

Non Mechanical

Byrd Dilator Sheath

The Byrd Dilator Sheath Set is intended for use in patients requiring the percutaneous dilation of tissue surrounding cardiac leads, indwelling catheters and foreign objects.

Accessories

Bulldog Lead Extender

Aids in the removal of lumenless cardiac leads or those that contain cable conductor wires.

Lead Clipper

Used to separate the connector from pacemaker or defibrillator lead wire.

Liberator Locking Stylet

The Liberator Beacon Tip Locking Stylet is intended for use in patients requiring the percutaneous removal of cardiac leads, indwelling catheters and foreign objects, with a central lumen.

One- Tie

One-Tie Compression Coil is intended to be used to aid in the removal of an implantable cardiac lead by binding the proximal components of the lead together and to an engaged locking stylet or to an affixed lead extender.

SOF – Grip Haemostatic Forceps

SOF-Grip Haemostatic forceps are used for gripping the pacing or defibrillator leads without damaging the lead and comprising the inner lumen.

Stylets

Used to debride foreign matter inside lead body and measure length of lead after connector has been removed.
